Welcome to Slow Play RV Park — we're glad you're here. This is a place where you can genuinely relax, no rush required. We're open year-round, big rigs are always welcome, and our team is here onsite if you need anything. The sites are full hookup, the atmosphere is quiet, and the neighbors are respectful. When you feel like getting out, there's great hiking, interesting history, and some really charming little towns just down the road. But honestly? There's no pressure. Take your time. That's kind of the whole point.

What Our Guests Are Saying
My spouse and I (and our two dogs) are now living permanently here at Slow Play in our brand new Park Model RV (aka Tiny Home)! The park has large lots, grounds are clean and well kept, pets are welcome, and the park is in a very quiet area yet close to town. Best of all, the staff are friendly and treat us like family here! We also love the experience of meeting other RV enthusiasts, whether this is their full time home or travelers that come and go.
Great place to hang it loose. Camp host Joe (if I remember correctly) is an awesome host. Very friendly and made us feel at home. I recommend slowplay 100%. We’ll definitely be back. The views are spectacular and the spaces are very roomy. Thank you for having a nice clean area for us campers.

This is our favorite R.V. Park in New Mexico. Donna, Ron, Joe, are all very nice and attentive. Willing to ensure your stay is satisfactory. The Park, overall is very clean. The showers and bathrooms are very clean and smell good. The restrooms / shower facilities have security locks on the doors. Each shower has its own stall with locks on the doors also. The only gripe I have, the sinks, hot water takes forever to get to the faucet.
Great stay! We visited in the off-season (end of Feb/early March), where the downtown streets were quiet, the campground was quiet and they still had some snow tubing available nearby. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the sites were clean and easy to get in and out, with a larger rig. Highly recommend! I can’t speak for other Rv parks but all of the others that we passed looked tough to get in and out.
This is a campground that is well kept! It is situated in Sierra Blanca Mountains. Sites are level with full hookups. There is a well maintained lounge, shower room and laundry room. There is a pavilion for events. Donna met our accommodations without hesitation. Joe assisted us to our site. Very warm and welcoming personalities! We only stayed one night, but will come back to be able to visit their town and utilize its services! Highly recommended!
We’ve been coming to Slow Play for about three years now the only RV park in Ruidoso we come to there’s plenty of room for our camper. We pull a fifth wheel. The people are friendly and extremely helpful and trust me as new camp we’ve needed a lot of help and they’re always there to help always happy to see us, the campground is always clean and we will continue coming back
Amazing spot wished we had stayed here for the other two outta three nights we where in ruidoso the staff was so kind and helpful they took very good care of us and the spots are extremely clean and nice and the bathrooms were very clean and the showers where hot!
Rv park, clean friendly, a little bit away from town.. good to be out… but a little drive doesn't hurt to get to town. Great place, great service.
